Fall 2015, we had a solar electricity system installed by Aurora Energy.

2015-10-27: Everything was installed:

All done:

2015-11-12: Rockville inspector inspected and approved our system.
2015-11-25: Pepco changed its meter to one that allows electricity to go both ways.
2015-12-02: Pepco approved our interconnection application, so we could turn the system on -- now generating electricity (depending on the weather, of course):

2016-04-21: Negative energy use in the Spring!

Woohoo!

2016-01-24: A blizzard dropped more than 2 feet of snow. After a bunch of snow had fallen, we heard a loud rumble from the roof, which I suspected was snow sliding off the solar panels (it was too crazy to venture out). The next day you could see a large portion of the roof had less snow, and there was a 3-foot berm of snow on the driveway (luckily our car wasn't parked there!):

2016-01-24: In the morning, 2 days later, there were several panels clear, but many still under a substantial blanket of snow:

An hour after I took that pic, there was another loud rumble -- and most of the rest of the snow had slid off:

The berm in the driveway is now quite large:
